GCP Rwanda has arrived
Just got a phone call from group leader Amy Sarch. Although the connection was a bit fuzzy, we were able to talk for a few moments, and I could hear lots of happy chatter in the background. They have arrived in Rwanda safely and are with their guide. Their luggage was delayed in transit, but they expect to be able to get it tomorrow. Amy reports that all are in good spirits and excited to be there.

Ireland and Nepal groups depart
GCP Bulgaria group departing SU campus.
Both the groups going to Ireland and Nepal left campus one hour ago. By now they should be checking in for their flights.
About half of the GCP Ireland group as departed campus together this afternoon. Others in the group are meeting at the airport and in Ireland.
GCP Nepal has the longest journey ahead of them: about 12 hours to Doha, Qatar, a mini-overnight layover and then an early morning flight to Kathmandu lasting about 5 hours. We don't expect to hear from them until Sunday morning our time. Here they are all cozy in the bus to the airport. Ready for a really long day(s)!

GCP Panama has arrived, Bulgaria departs
We've received word that the GCP Panama group has arrived safely.
GCP Bulgaria has left campus for their late afternoon flight to Sophia, Bulgaria by way of Frankfurt, Germany.

Panama and Rwanda groups are en route
The Panama group left campus at midnight and is currently in the air on their way to Panama City. The should be arriving there around noon today. GCP Rwanda departed campus early this morning and sent this photo from Dulles airport just a few moments ago.
Their flight leaves within the hour and they will be spending about 13 1/2 hours flying to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where they will change planes for the shorter flight (2+) to Kigali, Rwanda. Estimated arrival in country is around noon Saturday.

GCP 2013 is ready to launch!
The 63 travelers for this year's Global Citizenship Project are excitedly awaiting the start of their journeys. All groups will depart this Friday, March 8. Panama will start us off with an early morning departure from campus at midnight (Thurs), followed by Rwanda, Bulgaria, Nepal and Ireland.
We will post confirmation of each group's safe arrival in their country as soon as they check in. They will also be blogging stories and photos as their time and internet connectivity allows. You can also keep connected via Facebook and Twitter.
